The Riverbed Blog (testing)

A blog in search of a tagline

Live from New York, it’s Interop!

Posted by bobegilbert on October 4, 2011

Main This week is Interop in New York City.  Interop is a very big deal at Riverbed.  Following is just a partial list of the things we have going on at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on the West Side of Manhattan this week:

  • We are a Gold Sponsor of Interop.
  • We are the Registration Sponsor; when you register, you'll see our stuff everywhere!
  • We are sponsoring the CIO Boot Camp, which goes on through Tuesday.
  • In the Vendor Expo area, we're in Booth #409, which is a huge 20×30 booth.
  • Our booth contains five exhibit areas, where you can see demos of our latest acquisitions, Zeus and Aptimize, as well as some of our other products.
  • Our booth also features a Presentation Theater, where various Riverbed people will give 10-15 minute live presentations and demos of different Riverbed products.

And as if that's not enough, our people are delivering five different presentations over the course of the week:

  1. Nik Rouda, Riverbed Director of Solutions Marketing, will be presenting “High Performance for the Hybrid Cloud” in the Cloud & Virtualization Zone theater, Wednesday at 10:25am.
  2. Mark Day, Riverbed's Chief Scientist, spoke yesterday at “Optimizing Hybrid Cloud Communication” as part of the Enterprise Cloud Summit.  (Hope everybody saw our tweets!)
  3. Mark Day is also on the panel  “Great Debate: Is This the End of Physical Appliances” Thursday at 10:30am.
  4. Loris Degioanni, Riverbed Senior Director of Technology, is part of the “Network Management: Which Direction to Take?” moderated discussion, Friday morning at 10:30.
  5. Our customer, David Goodman, CTO Int'l Rescue Committee, speaks about WAN Optimization today at 1:30pm.

AND we'll be tweeting and blogging live from the show, and taking videos that we'll post in the evenings on Wednesday and Thursday.

So, keep your eyes on the blog and the Twitter feed; there will be a lot going on this week.
