Cascade: Know when there are problems and who’s the culprit

Posted by riverbedtest on May 19, 2009

David Spark reporting for Riverbed at Interop ’09, Las Vegas, NV.

I spoke with Charles Kaplan, who works with the Cascade group at Riverbed. Cascade is an application availability performance and monitoring tool and a recent acquisition for Riverbed.

Cascade monitors all your activity and creates normal ranges. And then it continues to monitor that activity alerting you if it jumps outside of any normal ranges. But more important than just alerting you, it’ll tell you specifically where the problem lies.

For more, check out all of Riverbed’s Interop ’09 Las Vegas coverage.
